A project for the integrated development of Srinagar's Hazratbal shrine is also included in this. Nearly 1,000 recently hired government employees in J&K will receive appointment letters from Modi, who will also meet with recipients of several central schemes. In an effort to increase security, multiple checkpoints have been installed throughout Srinagar one day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the city on Thursday. This will be Modi's first visit since Article 370 was abolished in August 2019, shortly after his government was re-elected to a second term.
The Prime Minister, who was in Jammu last week, will likely make an announcement at a public event at Bakshi Stadium about several tourism and agricultural initiatives.the gathering, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), is anticipated to draw some two lakh attendees, including BJP employees, residents, and government representatives.
Prior to the Lok Sabha elections in February 2019, Modi made his last trip to all three of the former state's regions, which included a stop in Kashmir. He had spoken to elected local body leaders in Jammu on National Panchayat Day in April 2022.
